For a band that was only in existence for a year, Matching Mole was particularly active: two studio albums, over fifty concerts in Britain and continental Europe, and a number of TV and radio broadcasts, including no less than five on the BBC including Top Gear (a show hosted by John Peel, a friend and supporter of the band). and Sound’s of the Seventies, and an In Concert session that saw the light of day on CD a few years ago. This newest release compiles performances from the band’s most intense gigging period, the spring of 1972 (the primary program is edited to replicate their continuous concert set).
